LuraPDF is built on a simple principle: your files never leave your device. All PDF processing happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. We do not have servers that receive, process, or store your files.
1. Your Files & Data
Every PDF operation — merging, splitting, compressing, converting, signing — is performed locally in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to any server, never transmitted over the internet, and never stored by LuraPDF. Once you close the browser tab, all file data is released from memory.
2. Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use LuraPDF. This helps us improve the tools and user experience. Google Analytics collects anonymized data such as page views, session duration, browser type, and geographic region. It does not collect your file contents. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
3. Cookies & Local Storage
LuraPDF uses browser localStorage only to remember your theme preference (light/dark mode) and language selection. Third-party services we use (Google Analytics, Google AdSense) may set their own cookies on your device. See Section 4 for details on these services.
4. Third-Party Services
LuraPDF uses the following third-party services: Google Analytics (usage analytics — collects anonymized browsing data) and Google AdSense (advertising — may collect device identifiers and browsing data to serve personalized ads; you can opt out at adssettings.google.com). Web fonts are downloaded at build time and served from our own domain, so no font request is sent to a third-party server while you browse the site. Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy and may set cookies in accordance with its terms. As a data controller under GDPR Article 13, we disclose all third-party processors that may collect personal data.
5. Google AdSense & Advertising Cookies
LuraPDF uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites on the internet. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to LuraPDF and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com. You can also opt out via the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page at optout.networkadvertising.org. Opting out does not prevent ads from appearing — it means ads shown will not be personalized. For more information on how Google uses data, see google.com/policies/privacy/partners.
6. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or California, you have certain data rights. Under GDPR: you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port personal data we hold about you; the right to object to processing; and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Under CCPA: California residents have the right to know what personal data is collected, to delete personal data, and to opt out of the sale of personal data. LuraPDF does not sell personal data. Because LuraPDF processes no file data on its servers, the personal data we hold is limited to what third-party analytics and advertising services collect (see Section 4 and Section 5). 7. Children's Privacy
LuraPDF does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The service is intended for general audiences.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of LuraPDF after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
